Our “Wow”-Season 2019
As soon as Mother Hulda comes back from her summer break, we are called to our winter sleep. Closing up an amazing, successful season without any accidents, we temporarily close our gates until they are reopened again in April with the annual snow clearance.
One more time this season started with a spectacular snow clearance where our team had to use all of their strengths in order to overcome the several metres high snow. At some passages there were 10-12 metres high walls of snow, which was not only impressive for our visitors but also for us.
Shortly before the official opening, a wall of snow about 10 metres high
After a beautiful autumn and an early summer the walls of snow melted and an amazing summer was ahead of us. It was the perfect idyll: Dozing cows at the roadside, a fresh breeze in your face and a colourful panoramic landscape dominated the scene of autumn.
But as all things come to an end, the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road was starting into its official winter break on November 4. In April our team will be called to get out their snow blower again and we start into the new season 2020. We are already looking forward to next year and want to thank all of you who visited us. We are very happy that it was – as most of the last years as well – a season without any accidents. We hope you had an unforgettable time on our road and that we see each other again very soon.
Until then you can follow us on Facebook or Instragram, both of them having no winter break.
See you soon,
your Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road Time
