Golden autmn is here!

The air is getting cooler and the leaves are changing to red and golden brown – it is finally autumn, also on the Timmelsjoch. Now that the season is coming to an end it is especially worth visiting the Timmelsjoch.

What could be more enjoyable than the winding paths of the Timmelsjoch, a fresh autumn breeze in your hair, and the picturesque autumn landscape? If you are thinking of visiting the Timmelsjoch now, you won’t be disappointed. To help you get perfectly prepared, here are a few ultimate autumn tips for you:

TOP 3 AUTUMN TIPS FOR THE TIMMELSJOCH

1. Wrap up warm.

Due to the altitude and potential breeze, it can get quite chilly up here, even if it is pleasantly warm in the valley. So don’t forget your jacket, and possibly also a scarf, gloves and hat, if you are thinking of getting out to enjoy the panoramic views.

2. Enjoy the golden autumn panorama.

Especially the individual stations of the “Timmelsjoch Experience” are a good place to stop, for example, at the telescope. The spacious area under the Scheibkopf offers a wonderful 180° panorama, including of the Texelgruppe Nature Park. A telescope is pointed at the Granatkogel (3,304 m) and Hoher First (3,403 m), which strikingly rise above the glacier ice.

3. Enjoy real Tyrolean “Käsespätzle”.

What could be better than sitting inside in the warm with a big portion of Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) when the autumn weather outside is cold? In the Top Mountain Crosspoint Restaurant you can enjoy a meal on your way up or down.
