Due to the Coronavirus, a record high could not be reached at Timmelsjoch

A winter with little snow together with warm and sunny days during spring saved the  team of four, working for the road maintenance depot of the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road AG, a great deal of work. But instead of mid-May, the mountain pass, - also known as “the most beautiful scenic road in the Tyrol” - located in the back end of the Oetz Valley, cannot be opened for travellers to the south before 11 June 2020.
