Review 2016

This year, the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road opened after a cold winter and complicated snow clearences on May 26th, hence our guests were able to enjoy the last spring days. The summer season included some rain periods, but autumn was all the more beautiful. Due to this warm „golden" autumn the final winter closure was postponed until November 4th.

Remarkably good season

„We are very happy about this year’s season, since it was one of the best in the history of the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road. Furthermore we are happy that there were no severe incidents," states the General Manager of the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road Inc. Manfred Tschopfer. „We are especially contented that the new Top Moutain Crosspoint appears to go down well with our guests. Its Motorcycle Musuem and the restaurant with the panoramoc view enrich the range of tourist attractions in the Ötztal area.

Open all year long
The brandnew Top Mountain Crosspoint started on April 15th 2016 in it’s first season and ever since then it’s a huge hit among all visitors. The highlight is most certainly the Motorcycle Museum with over 230 motorbikes on display. Unlike the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road, the Top Mountain Crosspoint won’t close during the winter season - it’s open all year long.
